Update And Going Home.....

Sometimes at SHAK time just seems to disappear, everyone who is involved with us puts so much into the charity and the dogs, that I'm sure The Rescue Place is on a different time zone to everyone else. That said its been a busy week, with coming and a going.....

The week started with Yvonne giving up her valuable time on Bank Holiday Monday at the Rothbury Fair, where she made a brilliant £140 selling jewellery and accessories a new side line in the SHAK Fundraising armour. Thanks to everyone who donated goods and supported Yvonne by buying, and of course thanks to Yvonne for the brainwave and giving her time.

We have had a couple of arrivals, more on them in due course, but I'm pleased to say that the most emaciated dog we have have ever had is doing well thanks to Karen and Mike, and "Harry" as he is now known is progressing well. I will release pictures over the weekend.

The reason SHAK is in existence is to give dogs like Harry a chance. Another who came to us recently terrified of the outside world is Charlie. If you have a look at a couple of blog posts further down you will see his story. I'm delighted to say that last night Charlie moved into one of our experienced foster homes on a temporary basis. This means we will still be looking for a "Forever Foster" Home, but in the meantime he has a stepping stone into the real world. Thanks for bailing us out once again Andy and Jackie.
